It started with Fire.
In 2014, Denis Caron had an idea. What if plush toys had expressions other than just the generic smiling happy faces that you see on almost every other toy available? This along with his interest and love for all things magic, lead to the development of his first toy line, the Plush Elements. .
On February 18th, 2015 Denis launched the first of his elements on Kickstarter, Fire (the grumpy one). After quickly being funded, and the interest clearly being there, stretch goals for the other 3 elements (and other emotions) were added to the campaign. On March 20th Denis was able to raise 406% of his original goal to fund the creation of all 4 Elements (Fire, Water, Earth & Air)!
As of April of 2016, Raven Stitch Plush Toys became its own distinct brand and company separate from Denis Caron’s other projects to allow it to become something uniquely focused on emotion within its own world.

Denis Caron
Creator & Artist
Denis Caron is a cartoonist and product designer who earned his degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in 2007. He spent over a decade working professionally supporting neurodivergent individuals, specifically those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), while continuing to develop his art on the side. His time exhibiting at conventions and meeting fans, paired with his work with people on the spectrum, helped him realize that we all share a fundamental need for connection, and art is a great way to do just that.
Through Raven Stitch, Denis merges his lifelong passion for creativity with his background in psychology, having seen firsthand the profound therapeutic potential art holds. He aims to use his unique style to support the neurodivergent community and anyone else seeking joy and comfort in meaningful, fun ways.
